What is industrial agriculture?

    Industrial agriculture, or “factory-farming” is the mechanization and expansion of huge (and in most cases, monoculture) farming methods. Although yield has appeared to increase with the advent of industrial agriculture, the environmentally-harmful practice is actually responsible for the increase in pesticide and fertilizer use, and their additionally upsetting environmental effects.
