India’s climate policies in the past have been largely based off money. In the past, they have refused to work towards a greener future, claiming that more developed countries like the U.S. that are a bigger part of the problem should have to help India pay for their changes. Their policies have not changed a whole lot as they opposed the idea of cutting greenhouse gas emissions in half by 2050. However, they do have a new plan which is made up of 8 different goals that is supposed to lead them towards a sustainable country.
