The idea of ethical investing involves investing in companies/organizations that have the following standards:
-Avoid causing illness, disease, and/or death.
-Avoidance of damage and/or destruction of the environment.
-Treating honest people with respect.
For instance, investing in a tobacco company may be considered unwise or unethical because of illness and/or death that is caused by smoking.
