What is “hyperthymestic syndrome?”

Hyperthymesia is when a person has an outstanding personal memory. Known also as piking, the two signs of distinction are the extraordinary amount of time a person spends thinking about their individual history and the person’s exceptional ability to recall minute details. Only four cases have been confirmed, but the most famous one involves a University of California-Irvine study in which a woman, who later wrote a book on her life and her condition, could recall every day of her life with very detailed information.
