What is the hottest day ever recorded in the arctic?

    You would actually be surprised at some of the records held for highest temperatures in the arctic region.  Fort Yukon, Alaska holds the highest recorded temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit.  Another unusually high temperature was recorded in Verkhoyansk (considered one of the coldest places in the Northern Hemisphere) at 94 degrees Fahrenheit.
