What highway in the United States goes along the coastline the most?

I would agree that Highway 1 (a.k.a. Pacific Coast Highway) is probably the longest stretch of coastal highway in the United States. It runs most of the length of the state before it becomes another road, ending somewhere around Eureka, CA. It was built in 1934 and runs about 656 miles. While driving on it, the Pacific ocean is visible for most of the stretch of road.
