The Guinness Book of World Records recognizes an English mastiff named Zorba as the heaviest dog ever, at more than 340 lbs. Whether not not English mastiffs are the heaviest on average is not certain, but they are certainly among the heaviest of all breeds, with males regularly reaching weights in excess of 200 lbs.

Mastiffs can weigh over 200lbs, with some reports of up to 300lbs. Great Danes can reach 200lbs, but those are among the larger few. St. Bernards can get just as big, around 200lbs. These are generally the heaviest dogs around.
