The Chianina is the largest and heaviest of cattle breeds. Its white hide makes it all the more impressive. Bulls can get up to 5ft 11in and weigh 3500lbs. Cows are a little smaller, standing 5ft 5in. and weighing about 1800-2000lbs. The largest Chianina bull on record, named Donetto, weighed 3840lbs and stood 6 ft 1in tall!

The Chianina is the largest, heaviest breed of cattle.  The breed originated in Italy, and was originally the primary source of agricultural power in the area until being displaced by machinery.  The Chianina breed is now selected for beef.
