What have they said about electric cars at the Bill Clinton Climate Initiative?

It seems like they haven’t decided. Apparently, there is support for electric vehicles, but some say that it would be difficult to develop a complete electric vehicle industry without some reliance on nuclear energy. This resulted in the suggestion that the emphasis on one clean technology v. another should not become the norm, but instead a focus on a carbon market in order to allow the technologies to sort themselves out.

It all seems fairly technical, and replete with opportunities to confuse the general public. Plenty of ideas are floating around, yet how to apply those ideas still seems to confuse everyone, however.
