Since we don’t have the means to understand what they are talking about we can never know how “deep” or abstract animal communication is, but from my understanding dolphins have the second most complex auditory communication. Dolphins use their blow holes to produce whistles and clicks in complex patterns and even have distinctive signature whistle identifier, much like a name. Chimps are known to use complex hand gestures as well, but lack vocal ability.
