CNN reported in January of 2008 that Obama allotted $2.3 billion in tax credits for the creation of an estimated 17,000 green jobs–manufacturing green technology, alternative fuel efforts, etc. This $2.3 billion came from the $787 billion American Reinvestment and Recovery Act. However, The Washington Times wrote in September that the creation of green jobs were no longer a priority in Obama’s stimulus plan and, in actuality, few green jobs have been created.
