What has made ocelots endangered?

    At one time, as many as 200,000 ocelots were killed for their fur.  Now that is illegal.  Now the main threat to ocelots is the deforestation and habitat destruction that is going on in Central and South America.  To compound the problem, Ocelots have small litter sizes with long gestation periods.
