What is the hardest crop to grow at your house?

Onions, sweet potatoes, and artichokes are among the hardest vegetables to grow yourself because of their need for a warm climate. All are particularly temperature sensitive: some types of onions need more daylight than others, sweet potatoes need at least 100 days of hot weather a year, and artichokes not only require warm weather, but also are known to have problems with aphids.
