As of this year, it is Harvard university. Their acceptance rate of prospective freshman is at 6.9%. That percent is out of 30,000 applications filed for the 2010-2011 school year. Harvard is the oldest university and ivy league school in the U.S. (374 years old), and it’s also one of the most prestigious.
Really any of the Ivy League Schools are among the hardest to get into. They consistently have the lowest admission rates in America out of thousands of applicants.
