What happens to the e-waste we cannot recycle?

According to Greenpeace, the e-waste that is not recycled ends up in landfills, incinerated, or shipped from developed countries like the U.S. or Europe to developing ones like India, Africa, and China (often illegally). Even e-waste that is said to be recycled, is exported to these countries that have less regulations on safety and hazardous materials and ends up polluting the people and environment of those countries. The link below shows the path of e-waste and the consequences of each path.
