What is the greenest way to spend Spring Break?

Well first of all, if you are planning on traveling, you may want to consider going someplace close. Airplanes cause an extreme amount of emissions, not the eco-friendly way to travel.

Also, you may want to try an eco-friendly outing, like camping, going to the beach, etc. Anything that requires you be close to nature will be more eco-friendly.

If you are vacationing in an area that requires lodging, make sure to choose an eco-friendly hotel.

If you are planning on taking a road trip, you could rent a hybrid car to ease the emissions. You could also pack your own food to eat, packing organic food in reusable containers instead of relying on fast-food restaurants, which aren’t good for you or the environment.

You could also go to idealist.org and see how you might spend your time volunteering in environmental causes, either at home or away.
