I would say that the greenest form of music media would be either actually going and seeing the band live in concert, purchasing your ticket online, and checking in electronically. However, for purchased music, I would say that mp3 music bought online from a service such as iTunes, and listened to on a shared machine would be the greenest form. This cuts out the paper used in advertising, the plastics and packaging used in traditional CD’s, as well as all the shipping and handling as well as the ensuing fuel costs that come with shipping traditional CD’s all around the country.
The greenest form of music media would have to be watching a live acoustic musician or band, during the day, either in your home or in a nearby area. In that scenario, no electricity need be used, and you wouldn’t have to drive anywhere.
