Buying new moving boxes is wasteful when you only use them for a few days. Try to get boxes from your friends or from grocery stores.
The closer you are moving, the less gas you will use in transportation. Try to make as few trips as possible. If you are moving just around the block, you could even walk and carry most of your stuff!
Donate anything you’re getting rid of to charity, friends, or recycle it.
When you need to replace something for your new place, consider thrift stores.
Using boxes that have already been used. You can go to a grocery or liquor store and request free boxes. If you driving to your new location, try to use only a few trips or rent an energy efficient vehicle to transport your belongings.
