What green house gas absorbs the most heat in the atmosphere?

On a pure molecule to molecule basis, Methane gas, abbreviated CH4, absorbs the most atmospheric heat. Though more CO2 is emitted then Methane, traps twenty times more the heat, during its seven year half life. Worst of all perhaps, when Methane is oxidized in the atmosphere, one of its by products is CO2, which creates even more emissions.
