What is that green goop that goes in bike tires made of?

Slime, a well-known tire sealant, is made of “a state of the art system of environmentally friendly fibers, binders, polymers and proprietary congealing agents that inter-twine and clot to seal punctures”, and are “manufactured with non-toxic, non-hazardous and non-flammable ingredients”.  It seems that the company is unwilling to be any more specific, probably out of fear that a display of the constituents will breed competition.
