when you feel the need for a cig, chew on gum/toothpick. dont buy another pack of cigarettes either and itll be that much easier. worked for me.
There are several natural remedies, but whether or not they work is determined on a case-by-case basis. Some people turn to acupuncture, while others try herbal remedies such as ginseng, lobelia, and St. John’s wort. There are some studies that support herbal remedies, but be sure that if you try this you are using a brand you trust, as herbal supplements are not regulated by the FDA. Another experimental option is hypnotherapy.
Tobacco is highly addictive, so regardless of whether or not you employ a remedy, it will take work. Other options include holding and occasionally “puffing” an unlit cigarette or chewing gum or anything else that can stand in for the actual act of smoking.
When you feel an urge to smoke, try drinking a flavored or sparkling water beverage.
