Although I don’t feel it is appropriate to state whether one window company is “better” than any other, I will give you some things to look for as well as a few energy efficient producers.
First off, you want to look for windows that are not traditional glass and are Argon insulated.
Second you need to look at the four ways in which a window loses energy or its U Value: its conduction or transfer of heat from inside the house to the outside, its radiation, or movement of infrared rays through the glass, convection, when warm air hits the cooler glass, it too cools and travels to the floor, sucking new warm air toward the window, and finally the leakage of air through the door.
