Arizona State University (ASU) in Tempe, Arizona is considered to be one the most environmentally friendly schools in the nation. ASU’s School of Sustainability began in 2007 as the first sustainability degree-granting institution in the nation. This section of ASU proves to be both beneficial to their students and their campus. ASU earned LEED Silver certification and features energy and water-efficient fixtures, recycled flooring, and rooftop wind turbines. Also, if you want a degree in sustainability, this appears to be one of the few colleges offering the degree.
Arizona Western College, Eastern Arizona College, Dine College, Rio Salado College and Glendale Community College have environmental science associate degree programs. At Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, bachelor’s degree programs in environmental engineering and environmental studies are offered. In addition, it offers a master’s degree in environmental science. Prescott College in Prescott provides programs in environmental education, environmental psychology, environmental biology, and environmental design.
You could search online for Arizona colleges that offer programs in environmental science. Do a thorough research based on accreditation, program quality, duration, tuition, graduation rate, and student life. I’m also looking for good colleges in Arizona, and recently a CollegeAmerica review caught my eye. The college has degree programs in healthcare, computers, and business.
