What is a good climate for a lemon tree to grow in?

Lemons grow best in warmer climates such as Florida and California. They survive best in dry climates also; they can be grown in humid temperatures but require irrigation. Anything below 29 degrees Farenheit causes damage to the fruit and the tree.

Lemons grow best in a subtropical climate, and are green unless the temperature dips between 50F and freezing. They also grow better than oranges in coastal regions. Lemons are thought to have originally come from China or India.
