What is going to happen if the numbers for global warming was really fudged?

Well, hopefully there’s enough other evidence to show that environmentalism is still important.  But, more than likely, it will give creedence to the doubters, including doubters who want to pollute, and make it easy for big corporations to argue against green reforms that would benefit the environment but cost extra money to institute.  I’m pretty upset that someone would lie, rather than look for the source of his conflicting data, since this makes it easy for conservatives to de-legitimize environmentalist arguments that protect our air and water.
