It’s also referred to as an “ice age”. It’s when glaciers cover a lot of the earth. The last global glaciation began 110,000 years ago and ice covered about 10 million square miles of Earth. It also changed the climate of warmer areas such as rainforests, not only making them cooler but drier as well.
