Mexico City, Mexico. Over 3 million cars travel in the streets daily, making the smog levels dangerously high on a daily basis. Mexico City’s smog levels are considered the most dangerous in the world for a few reasons. Mexico City is located in a higher alitude area, requiring more red blood cells for people to breath normally. Since there is less oxygen available, combustion processes take up more oxygen also. This enhances the emission of corbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and volatile organic compounds, but different car engine designs could solve these smog and pollution problems.
