Planets get their colors from the gasses in their atmosphere or from the color of the materials that make up their surfaces if their atmosphere is thin. For example, some planets, like Mercury, have virtually no atmosphere so we see the color of the gray rocky surface. Venus has a yellowish-white color because of the sulfuric acid clouds. Mars is a redish-orange because of the rusty rocks in its surface.
