What is geoengineering?

Geoengineering is the process by which scientists are now considering to slow or reverse the actions of global warming.  These actions are on a much larger scale.  Some of the proposals include shading the earth from the sun.  Others call for pumping sulfor dioxide into the stratosphere to reduce global warming or putting sea salts into the sky to make clouds more reflective.  It is a giant project on working how to cool the earth.

The modern concept of Geoengineering  (or Climate Engineering) is usually taken to mean proposals to deliberately manipulate the Earth’s climate to counteract the effects of global warming from greenhouse gas emissions.
