What is geo-engineering?

  1. 0 Votes

Geo-engineering limits the amount of CO2 that reaches the Earth, or it removes CO2 that builds up on the planet. It is still mostly in the concept stage and many critics believe it is unrealistic and takes away from the problem of emissions. Some types of geo-engineering pull CO2 out of the atmosphere using machines. Other types add lime to the water in order to expel CO2 from the planet through the oceans. There are many different ways in which geo-engineering can help with climate change. It is simply a matter of bringing concept into reality in the time left that we have to save the planet from irreversible damage.
