That will depend on the car, though on average, there doesn’t seem to be much of a difference in terms of mileage. For example, tests of the plug-in Prius yielded an average mileage of 51 mpg. The 2010 model of the normal Prius is expected to be around 50 mpg. The main difference lies in the fact that you can charge a plug-in vehicle with a domestic plug.
