What gas is found in fire extinguishers?

    depending on the type of extinguisher, it is usually compressed carbon dioxide. it can contain a chemical foam or even pressurized gas with water in the extinguisher to squirt out to the fire. a fire burns with 3 things: oxygen, fuel, and heat. if one factor is removed as fire extinguishers remove the oxygen, to extinguish fires properly.
