The Fuso Canter E-Cell is a battery-powered, commercial-duty concept truck developed by Damlier motors (a branch of Mitsubishi). The truck was unveil at IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hanover, boasting a 75-mile range and Daimler believes that the “zero-emissions” vehicle is ideally suited for work in congested urban areas. With its battery pack positioned within the vehicle’s frame, the Canter E-Cell chassis cab can be configured to tackle various duties including flatbed, cargo container, or other task-specific setups.
The Fuso Canter E Cell is a battery pack built by Mitsubishi. It is powered by a 40 kWh Li-ion battery and has a range of about 75 miles. It takes about 6 hours to fully charge. If used in combination with a diesel engine, this battery will allow a car to get about 27mpg.
