What is the function of your lymph nodes?

    Lymph nodes are essential to your immune system.  Lymph nodes are located throughout the body and filter fluids, detecting viruses and bacterias.  This is why your lymph nodes swell and are sore when your sick.  Once detected, your white blood cells come in and do damage control.
