The Forest of Hope is the nickname for the Gishwati National Conservation Park in Rwanda. It gets its name from its objective to give hope to the continuation of an endangered species of chimpanzee that makes its home there that, without help, might become extinct. The Rwandan Government recently expanded the size of the park by 21%, from 3,018 to 3,665 acres. The conservation should also benefit the other wildlife in the area as well as increase the water quality in the Sebeya River.
