Plants use carbon dioxide to grow and produce fruits/vegetables. The quicker a plant grows, the more CO2 it will consume, thus the fastest growing plants absorb the most CO2. Bamboo and seaweed, primarily grown as a food crops in Asia, are two of the fastest growing plants on earth, and as such consume the most CO2.
