India is. It’s growth rate from 1990 to 1995 was 1.9%. However, at that time the overall growth rate in the world was negative. Fortunately, family planning has increased over the years and the average family size has fallen from 5 children to 3 children.
The growth rate of countries, such as India and African nations is frightening. Families have many children in order to gain cheap labor and also thinking that many of them will die. In order to decrease this growth rate, we must first provide adequate healthcare for all humans from the beginning.
Quite a few nations have growth rates greater than India – 90 or 93 depending on which list you choose on the cited page.
