I would try planting evergreens. They have a high growth rate of between 8 to 16 inches per year, and you can plant them in either the spring or the fall. The first link gives step by step instructions on how to plant them and are very straightforward. If evergreens aren’t your cup of tea, check out what’s available at your local nursery. There are also online seed suppliers if you don’t find anything you like.
