Contrary to popular belief, conventional hybrids to not need to be recharged in the way that electric vehicles do. In fact, conventional hybrid vehicles require gas to be used and regain electrical energy through the force of the car when it brakes. But if you are talking about plug-in hybrids, those can and should be charged. Although I cannot find figures on the fastest-charging plug-in hybrid today, it appears that according to 2008 figures, economy cars with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle 10 platform can charge the fastest. They only need to charge 2.7 hours with a level 1 charger, and half an hour with a level 2 charger.
