The Peregrine Falcon is the fastest bird on record. Normal cruising speeds are about 40 to 55 miles per hour (mph). While driving the Peregrine Falcon can reach speeds up to 273 mph. This is incredibly fast; just imagine the force that hits the prey of Peregrine Falcons.
