Apparently inspired by “Wall-E” (no really) Quzno’s switched to compostable, recycled packaging for their sandwiches in 2010.
In March 2011, McDonalds committed to working toward using sustainably grown wood fiber in their packaging.
Greenopia ranks fast food places based on how green they are, and takes packaging into account. Some of the greenest ones are local to the LA area, but the list includes some of the bigger chains like McDonald’s and BK. McDonald’s has the highest rating of the larger chains.
