Farmers are able to use GPS technology to gain very detailed information on their cropland, including slopes, insect and weed problems, yield performance, and moisture levels. This information is then used to manage the equipment that distributes the amount of water, seed, tillage, or herbicides as determined necessary by the GPS to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
