What is the EPA going to do once it gets the data from their mandatory emissions reporting?

THE EPA will make companies comply with reporting requirements for the Clean Air Act. Monitoring and reporting of emissions began in March 2009 and data will be collected in January 2010 for facilities that emit more than 25,000 metrics tons or more of carbon dioxide per year. After results are compiled, consequential action will then be decided. It is for sure that these companies will endure enforced costs and must adjust their technologies if they emit too much.
