There is no real hazardous environmental impact of farm raised fish as of yet, aside from waste produced. One potential impact is speeding up fish evolution. There is evidence that genetic mutations take place much quicker in those environments the fish are placed in while in farms. This could have an unknown effect later on down the road.
Is there any problem of spreading disease from farm raised fish to wild fish?
Yes, if the farm raised fish disease is spread through the water; if any water leaks out to where wild fish are then theres a possibility for infection. Otherwise, farm raised fish are generally kept from wild fish, so the potential for spreading is low.
