I’m doing a small outline for a recreational management plan concerning dog sledding. I’m having trouble coming up with some adverse impacts.
Agreed. It does not seem that dog sledding has many negative affects to the environment. However, for truly pristine areas, the introduction of humans often (unfortunately) brings some kind of waste. Dogsledding can break up ice and possibly disrupt foraging paths temporarily. Moose and polar fox seem to be particularly spooked by dog sledding teams, and this stress can be considered a negative impact.
