Different plants grow in different types of environments; plants that need a lot of water won’t grow as fast in drier climates. Drought-tolerant plants, however, would grow much easier in a drier environment. Plants do have the ability to adapt to new environments, but their chances of survival are not as good. A plant’s best chance at survival is to live in its native environment.
