What is EKO certified organic?

The use of the EKO Quality Mark is restricted to organic companies certified by Skal, the inspection and certification body for organic production in the Netherlands. The EKO Quality Mark is only allowed on products containing more than 95% organic ingredients. It cannot be used on agricultural products under conversion to organic production. Companies and operators located outside the Netherlands who wish to market organic products in the Netherlands with the EKO Quality Mark must apply for an EKO-Certificate.
