What effects do floods have on wildlife?

    Floods can alter the natural environment in which animals live in.  Torrential rains have caused reduced turkey, quail and pheasant populations in Missouri by drowning the nests.  Depending on the severity, it can displace wildlife to other locations, disturbing the existing ecosystem.
