What effect does eating sugar have on your immune system?

Absolutely none. We get energy from glucose, which is a type of sugar. Indeed, we need to take in sugar so we have plenty of available energy. Eating too much or too little sugar could potentially have adverse consequences for the immune system, but as long as you stay in a normal range your immune system cannot be negatively effected by eating sugar.
