What ecosystem has been destroyed by humans the most?

I believe that the ecosystem that has been destroyed by humans the most would be tropical rainforests.  Tropical rainforests once covered about 15% of the earth’s surface and now covers only 6%.  Many people estimate that all rainforests could be gone in the next 40 years.   However, a new study at Yale provides some hope.  It shows that 75% of ecosystems can recover in a matter of decades from human damage or damage from natural disasters.  That means if we stop havesting wood from the tropical rainforests they could make a significant recovery!
